When something means
something there is something that feels innermost inside
you. And then it leaps out, you feel I am that, I am that. |

Burning Man is like
every dimension opening up and spilling out onto this vast
Playa; every crazy thing you can imagine; a weird
inter-dimensional party. |
For one human being to
love another; that is perhaps the most difficult of all our
tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for
which all other work is but preparation. |
In society we are
ruining the trust structures that institutions were really
built on; society as we know is kind of crumbling and we
need to strive to create utopian realisms; a great metaphor
of what Burning Man is. |
Burning Man is a great
place for kids, my son's viewpoint, he lives in a world
where purple dinosaurs talk, so Burning Man is not that
different from his real life. |
Hundred million
gigaflops in your face; of true authentic wellspring mind
explosion expansion ecstasy; put that in your pipe and smoke
it....See you on the Playa... |
When you go to a place
like Burning Man, it becomes aware to you that people make
the world what it is; and we have the power to create a
wonderful magical society if we so choose. |
It is an experiment in
authentic interaction in art; sort of a socialistic
expression of a true democratic and free thinking society; a
utopian realist society, where living in this type esthetic
zone...To me Burning Man emulates that, it is reminiscent of
the people getting together to form a good society; a
society with ideals and visions, a cooperative net social
structure. |
It is the only place I
have seen that gives you complete freedom of expression |
When you take away the
commerce and you get people with their level of expertise
showing off what they do best; then its mind blowing. |
When people go to
Burning Man; they begin to realize they create the world.
That is something we forget; that we have all forgotten,
that in our being it is made real. |
People come out to the
event for the first time; it's like a giant Birthday Party,
they are overwhelmed by it. It is all a gift, it is
being given to them; and they do not have to pay for it and
they are overwhelmed by that experience. But if you
keep coming; what you learn is that you have to turn
yourself into a gift in order to keep the thing alive.
When you do that and assume a role, Burning Man becomes a
way of life. |
