I am organizing a yard sale to help fund the rebuilding of a school and houses damaged by the recent Tsunami. Although millions of dollars in aid have been pledged, I have been working directly with support groups in Sri Lanka and the villages that they have been helping have not received any assistance to date. They have survived thanks to the contributions of private individuals around the world.

Many friends and neighbors offered to donate goods, toys, etc. but the cost of shipping these items half way around the world was prohibitive and so I thanked them but had to decline their kind offers. I then decided to organize a yard sale. I have been collecting items and will have a one day sale. Here's the information:

EVENT: East Valley Tsunami Relief Yard Sale
DATE: March 5, 2005 (Saturday)
TIME: 7:00am - 2:00pm
LOCATION: The Crossing Church parking lot - 2542 W. Warner Road -
(approximately 1/2 mile East of the intersection of Warner and the 101 FWY)
