Just a reminder that my
ceremony is this Friday at 2PM. I have a few names that want to
attend.
For the rest of you, I ordered a bunch of Mexican food and beer for
a party at my house that night, this also is the June Tucson burner
dinner.
I originally posted about dressing nice. Forget that. Playa wear is
encouraged. If you are attending the function on base just use
common sense.
You will be on a federal installation.
At my house have fun. Just remember that there will be children and
that technically I am still military for a few more weeks.
So, the only thing you can smoke in my yard is cigarettes. (Note, in
my yard, I have a huge desert behind my house, and you have cars)
If you are coming to the party and want to spin or anything like
that feel free. My mom will be there and a lot of folks I worked
with.
They have never seen this stuff.
For music. We decided to pass on a DJ. So we will only have a small
stereo. Please bring what ever music you might want to share.
I have a big back yard (8000+ feet) so there is plenty of room for
all to have fun.
My bed space is full. (Family) I might have 1 extra bed in my motor
home. Otherwise I have tile floors so come prepared if you want to
crash here.
Amazon said she has some space but she has cats and snakes for you
to deal with.
If you are coming to the ceremony on base. The main gate is at
Craycroft and Golf Links Rd.
Down I-10 to the Alvernon exit. Turn Left (North, under the bridge).
Follow that around for 2 or 3 miles and the road will curve to the
Right and turn into Golf Links rd.
Make sure you are in the middle lane as you head over the bridge or
you will have to turn Right early and stay on Alvernon. Just follow
along until you reach Craycroft.
It is the second traffic light after the curve. (between 2 and 3
miles from the curve) Get in the Right lane and turn Right into the
base.
The pass building is on the right hand side. Go in and get your pass
if you gave me you name.
When you enter the base it’s pretty simple. Go straight until the
second stoplight. That will be Ironwood. Turn Right (West) and head
to the next stop sign.
Turn Left (South) and go about half a mile. On the left hand side
you will see a sign for the base Community Center. There is parking
on both sides. Have fun.
When you enter the building the ceremony will be in the back on the
Left. I will give directions from the base to those that attend.
Party address
is 8939 E. Weyburn Dr. 85730
Come down I-10 until Kolb rd.
Turn Left over the bridge (North) until the second stoplight. (about
6 miles I think) Turn Right (East) go 3 miles. You will see a tall
sign for Pima Community College on the Left side, there will be a
stoplight there. The Right side will be the airplane graveyard.
After that light it will be 4 streets on the Left. Turn Left on
Brandywine; follow it along to the 5th Left, Gatwick. Take that all
the way to the end and my house will be right in front of you. If
you don't stop you will be in my garage.
I hope to see you this Friday.
